Army provides free coaching to 80 children of border area

AKHNOOR : Under Operation Sadbhavna, Army provided free coaching to 80 children for NDA Agniveer in bordering area of Pargwal.

The two months long free coaching concluded today during a closing ceremony organized in this regard.

On the occasion, children from different villages presented colourful cultural programme. The teachers who provided coaching were felicitated. The people present thanked the Indian Army and hoped that the such programmes will be organized in future  too for the welfare of children living in the border areas.

Teacher Priya Manhas said that the Indian Army is preparing the children for Agni Veer so that the children do not face any difficulty in future.

Ex-servicemen and people of different villages were also present.

CDR 19 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Vivek Puri, CO 4 Rajput Col Sandeep Singh, 2IC Lt Col Akhilesh Singh Parihar, Sub Maj Balvir Singh Sekhawat, Sub Jai Prakash Singh, Teachers- Neeru Verma, Sangeeta Manhas, Priya Rajput, Neha Chib, Priya Manhas, Neha Rajput, Rajinder Singh and Tarsem Singh were also present.

Besides Ex- Serviceman – Sub Maj Parveen Singh and Hony Capt Ashok Singh, Ex Sarpanch Kashmir Singh (Garkhal), Ex Sarpanch Ram Swaroop Sharma (Pargwal), Raju Singh (Molu);  Ex-Panch Nitin Sharma and Abhibhavakgan were also present.
