Man shot at by unidentified gunmen in J&K’s Rajouri, succumbs

Jammu,  Ahead of Lok Sabha elections for Rajouri-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency scheduled on May 7, a man was critically injured after he was shot at by unidentified gunmen on Monday in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The injured person, however, later succumbed to injuries.

Official sources said that a man was injured after being attacked by unidentified gunmen in Rajouri district.

“The gunmen fired upon one Mohammad Raziq, resident of Kunda Tope, Shahdhara Sharif in Rajouri district,” they said.

Critically injured, Raziq was shifted to the hospital, but he succumbed.

The security forces have cordoned off the area and launched the search operation.

The Rajouri-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency will go to the polls on May 7.
