Srinagar, Deputy inspector general of Police CKR Srinagar Rajiv Omprakash Pande directed police to establish a robust Security grid to scuttle the nefarious designs of any Anti National Elements (ANEs) to disturb the upcoming Parliamentary elections in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
DIG CKR stressed the importance of establishing a robust Security grid with special attention to minority pockets and non-local clusters in close coordination with sister agencies and the Army to ensure the prevention of any Anti-National Elements (ANEs) disturbing the upcoming Parliamentary elections.
DIG Pande reviewed the preparedness for the Parliamentary elections 2024 and the overall Security & Law and Order Scenario in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
The meeting was attended by SSP budgam Al Tahir Gilani -JKPS, Addl.SP Budgam Ragav S and all the GOs were present.
SSP Budgam provided a detailed overview of the preparation done by District Police Budgam including the deployment plans for the ensuing elections, besides the area domination plan and the disruptive mechanism devised to thwart any possible threat to public tranquility.
He further stressed upon the need for Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)during the movement of Security Personnel across the district.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to ensure a free and fair electoral process enabling everyone to exercise their franchise without any fear.
