Freight train runs without drivers from Kathua to Mukerian in Punjab

Jammu,  A freight train, which was at a halt at Kathua Station on Sunday morning, suddenly started running due to a slope towards Pathankot, without the driver.

Official sources said that a major tragedy was averted when a train which was at a halt at Kathua Station after covering 80 kilometer run was chugging upto Ucchi Bassi in Mukerian, Punjab without drivers.

They said that the train reportedly covered 80 kms without drivers at a very high speed.

“An inquiry has been initiated into the matter by the Divisional Traffic Manager Jammu,” they said.
