Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Saturday said that uprooting dynastic parties like National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party is no less than a Jihad for them.
Bukhari, who founded the Apni Party eight months after the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, said he was hopeful that in the upcoming polls parties like NC and PDP will be uprooted by the people.
“I am hopeful the people will uproot NC and PDP in the upcoming polls. .. For us to uproot the two parties is no less a Jihad ,” he told reporters in Srinagar.
The Apni Party President said that these two parties have pushed people of J&K into trouble.
“The slogans of ‘autonomy’ and ‘self-rule’ were not given by children, but leaders of these two political parties. These two parties are responsible for the situation that people are going through presently,” he said.
Bukhari said in the upcoming elections people will vote against NC and PDP for what they have done in the past 70 years.
He appealed to people to bring Apni Party into power so that they will provide dignified life to youth in J&K.
Bukhari, a former member of PDP was a Minister in the PDP-BJP government.
The Apni Party President said people of Jammu & Kashmir can live happily in the Union of India where over 20 Crores Muslims are residing.
He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to give every due right to people of Jammu & Kashmir under the ambit of law.
