Woman presumed to have died due to drowning actually killed by husband in Ganderbal

 Srinagar: A woman who was reported to have died due to drowning in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal last week was infact killed by her husband who has been arrested, a senior police officer said.
He said a woman identified as Rubeena Bano had drowned in river Sindh last week.
However, police got suspicious and conducted investigation during which it surfaced that her husband Abdul Majid Khan had infact killed her. After killing her, he dumped the body in a shop for four days before throwing it into a waterbody.
He said Khan has been arrested and a case registered. Further investigation has been taken up, he added.
