New Delhi: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has blocked Pakistan’s attempt to proscribe two Indian nationals and politicize the 1267 special procedure on counter-terrorism by giving it a religious colour.
“Pakistan’s blatant attempt to politicize 1267 special procedure on terrorism by giving it a religious colour, has been thwarted by UN Security Council,” India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, T S Tirumurti, tweeted on Wednesday.
He also thanked the Security Council members who had blocked Pakistan’s move.
