Traffic Police Launches Drive Against Violations Of Traffic Rules

In a major drive launched against violations of traffic rules and regulations, 5596 vehicles were challaned, 553 vehicles seized, 08 driving licenses suspended, 35 FIR Lodged at  Police Station Kishtwar  and fine of  Rs 1426300 imposed on the traffic violators .

This is the highest penalty ever imposed The District Police alongwith MVD Department & Traffic Police has laid special nakas at various points and has also started patrolling in and around Kishtwar town.

SSP Kishtwar Shri Rajider Kumar JKPS, While talking to people over the overloading of vehicles in this district, the people expressed that it was the daily routine resorted by the vehicles operators and now the people have expressed their happiness about the steps  taken

SSP Kishtwar Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta JKPS warned  all the vehicles operators of the district  of strict action against the  menace of overloading SSP Kishtwar further said that traffic violators are directly/ indirectly responsible for causing fatal road accidents leading to the loss of precious lives.

He further said that the drive will continue till the violators get channelized to follow the traffic rules.Needless to mention that the FIRs have also been registered against road maintenance agencies for negligent acts in District Kishtwar & this has resulted in fruitful results
