SSCAF JK felicitates Bocce Ball team

Sunny Nanda, coach along with players, who were felicitated posing with dignitaries at an event in Jammu on Friday

JAMMU: An impressive function was organized to felicitate Sunny Nanda, coach and four players of J&K, who recently participated in Asian Bocce Ball Championship held at Malaysia. The function was organized by SSCAFJK at Bharat Scouts & Guides Office, Gandhi Nagar, wherein MLC, Vikram Randhawa was the chief guest.
The association honoured Sunny Nanda, who was recently awarded with best coach of the year award by SPAA India and four players from J&K state, who performed well and got medals for India in Asian Junior Bocce Ball Championship at Malaysia. The players who were felicitated included Bhumika Gupta, student of M.V International School for winning bronze medal in singles; Guravnsh Choudhary, student of Dogra Hr. Sec School and Suryansh Rabgotra for winning bronze medal in men’s doubles.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Randhawa congratulated the whole team and gave best wishes for the forthcoming World Bocce Ball Championship to be held in Italy. He also said that the Department of Sports would provide all help in promoting the game of Bocce Ball to its highest pinnacle.
Ravi Tikku, President JKSBA, Baldev Singh, Sohail Kazmi, I.D Soni, chief patron, Gulshan Rattan, founder SSCAF Tarun Uppal, Director SSCAF JK, Anil Nanda were also present on the occasion.
