Shooter Aneesha creates history, DGP rewards

JAMMU: Female shooter from Jammu and Kashmir, Aneesha Sharma has created history by becoming first player from the UT to make it to the Indian squad considering her performance at the Nationals.

The DGP, who is also the chairman of the Association, congratulated Aneesh for her achievements and hoped that she would continue to bring laurels to UT and the Nation in future as well.
He assured all possible help and assistance to the budding shooter. The DGP also sanctioned a cash reward of Rs 10,000 and a commendation certificate.
“Aneesha is first shooter from J&K selected in the India shooting squad. She has secured her place in the Indian Shooting team with the average score of 622.8 at National level under the guidance of coach Vishal Mehra,” informed president of the Association, Kuldeep Singh.
The first coaching camp of Indian Shooting Squad will commence from May one to May 18 in New Delhi. She has also been shortlisted for Khelo India Youth Games.
President J&K Rifle Association, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, treasurer, SS Sodhi and vice president (Administration), Sharat Chander Singh accompanied Aneesha.
