Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Sheetal Nanda, today reviewed Special Summary Revision (SSR) exercise in a meeting held here today.
While assessing progress on SSR in the district, Commissioner Secretary directed the officers to ensure displaying of list of claims and objections covered under form 9, 10, 11, 11A, 11B at prominent places for public scrutiny. Commissioner Secretary, who is also Electoral Rolls
Observer for Samba district, further delved on the officers to make provision of ramps for persons with disabilities as mandated under Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at all designated polling stations across the district During the meeting, District Election Officer, Samba, Anuradha Gupta informed regarding popula- tion to Elector Population
(EP) ratio, Aadhar seeding, young voters addition, addi- tion and deletion of voters including shifting of voters within and outside constituen- cy. SDM Ghagwal, Ramkesh Sharma, SDM Vijaypur, Vinay Sharma, ACR, Manu Hansa, besides Tehsildars, Election Naib Tehsildar and other concerned officials were also present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner Secretary also inaugurated a 25 bedded Child Care Institute, PALAASH at Nandpur, Ramgarh in Samba. The institute will provide shelter to the child in need of care.
On the occasion commission- er secretary inspected the facilities being provided to inmates of the institution including shelter, food, edu- cation, meditation, art and craft, medical facilities etc.
Sheetal Nanda interacted with the students present on the ocassion and distributed school bags among them.
