Schools reopen in Leh after pandemic, students ‘thrilled’ to be back to school

LEH: After the Covid-19 pandemic, students of various Schools wholeheartedly attended the first day of School reopening today in Leh district. On the first day Schools celebrated ‘Back to School programme’ and welcomed the students of classes from 6th to 12th by making special arrangements.
The Back to School programme began with inaugural events followed by a cultural programmes and motivational talks by dignitaries to the students of various schools.
Government Higher Secondary School, Diskit Nubra alongwith other schools of Leh district celebrated the ‘Back to School’ programme here today. After the Covid-19 pandemic, the students along with their parents wholeheartedly attended the first day of school reopening in presence of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Lakshya Singhal; Zonal Education Officer, Nubra; SMDC Chairman and Sarpanch, Diskit, Nubra.
On this occasion, the first prospectus of the school was launched in presence of SDM Nubra and other officials. The students of the school were also felicitated for bringing laurels at the recent Science week festival held in Leh.
Higher Secondary School, Nyoma and Government Middle School, Nyoma celebrated ‘Back to School’ Programme. The students alongwith their parents attended the reopening of the school after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Back to School Programme was celebrated in presence of the Medical Officer, Dr Lal Didi, Teachers, staff members and VEC members.
Students, teachers, parents expressed their happiness at the school-reopening program and discussed the action plan to make school more productive in the coming time.
Meanwhile, Government and Private Schools of Khaltse Subdivision also celebrated the ‘Back to School’ programme today to mark the school reopening after the Covid-19 pandemic. Students alongwith their parents happily attended the first day of the school’s reopening.

The Chairman/ CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson was the chief guest at the Back to School programme at Government High School, Wanla. Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khaltse, Suhail Ahmad; Chairman BDC, Singay Lalok, Stanzin Yangdol; BDO Khaltse, Virender Bawa; Sarpanch, Nambardar, Headmaster and staff members were present during the programme.
CEC Gyalson inaugurated the inaugural event of the ‘Back to School’ program and spoke on the importance of education. He further highlighted the meaning of the Back to School programme and the importance of such initiative in bringing students closer to learning quality education.
Similarly, other schools of the Likir sub-division celebrated the ‘Back to School’ program which was enthusiastically attended by students, district officials and public representatives.
