Sabre Brigade holds Covid-19 awareness cum Medical camp at Ratnuchak

Samba, MAR 14: Indian Army has been constantly acting on need of the hour undertaking variety of civic action projects for the welfare of the Awam. Witnessing the fear psychosis on spread of Covid-19, Sabre Brigade of Rising Star Corps in close coordination with the District administration here on Saturday organized Medical and awareness camp here at Ratnuchak.
The Camp was organised to reach out to the rural public and address the need of the hour concerned with Covid-19.
Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, GOC Rising Star Corps visited the camp and was briefed by Commander Sabre Brigade, Brig Vishal Singh on the prevailing health and local issues.
The GOC on the occasion interacted with local populace and appreciated the dedicated efforts of organisers and team of Doctors from Army and civil and also appealed towards precious contribution from all to fight this Pandemic.
Number of locals from the nearby rural areas including members of the Gujjar and Bakerwal settlements who have limited access to quality medical care availed the
Wide publicity and awareness ensured huge attendance and were felicitated with sanitizers and masks to step towards prevention against spread of Covid-19.
It was informed that gynecologist, pediatrician, Eye, ENT, Medical, Dental and Veterinary ensured a compressive medical cover provided to the local populace.
The camp provided quality diagnosis, treatment and awareness against Covid-19 to the poor and needy sections of the society besides strengthened the bond of ‘Awan’ and the ‘Jawan’.
