Ramesh vows to carry farward initiatives of Simrandeep

KATRA: The initiatives taken by the former CEO of SMVD Shrine Board Simrandeep Singh will be carried farward and every effort would be made to give best possible facilities to Yatries with active support and consultation of the civil society enabling the Yatra to increase further manifold. This was stated by new CEO SMVD Shrine Board Ramesh Kumar while speaking in a programme organized by Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra (HRAK) & PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu Region (PHDCCI) in connection with farewell of outgoing Chief Executive Officer SMVD Shrine Board Simrandeep Singh.
While speaking on the occasion, Simrandeep Singh said that the love, affection and support which he got from the people of Katra were really touching. He said that it was really good that the intention of people and Shrine Board was same and that was the best possible facilities for the Yatries.
Rakesh Wazir, president HRAK & Chairman PHDCCI said that Hotel Association had always fought for the cause of Yatries and believed that the best possible facilities to the Yatries was the only way by which we could increase the number of Yatries and he was happy that during the tenure of Simrandeep Singh, every effort was made so that Yatries could get best possible facilities. He said if he would have got more tenure things would have changed further on the ground and added that the initiatives taken by him including free langer for Yatries, helmets to persons taking pony, new road from Katra to Charan Paduka for locals, gold cover on the main entrance of Vaishnodevi ji will be remembered forever.
Sujit Kumar while appreciating the working style of Simrandeep Singh said that many long pending issues concerning police and public got cleared during his tenure and his efficient and quick decision making style made him different from rest of the persons.
Indu Kanwal Chib lauded the efforts of Simrandeep Singh and said that there was best co-ordination between him and the district administration during his tenure, which resulted in the shape of best possible results and hoped that it would continue further during the tenure of Ramesh Kumar as well.
Vivek Verma too lauded the role of former CEO Simrandeep Singh.
