Railways extends cancellation of train services upto September 30, special trains to keep running

New Delhi: Indian Railways has extended the cancellation of train services upto September 30, other than the ‘Special Mails/Expresses’ that will continue to run.
The cancellation has been extended for the regular Mail/Express, Passenger and Sub-Urban train services, the Railways said.
Earlier in the day, there was a slight confusion whether as all train services cancellation has been extended. However, the ministry of railways clarified that special trains will continue to run.
In a tweet, ministry of railways said, ‘Some section of media is reporting that railways has cancelled all regular trains till 30th September. This is not correct. No new circular has been issued by Ministry of Railways.
Special Mail Express trains shall continue to run.’
Earlier this cancellation was upto August 12, which has now been extended.
