Priyanka demands impartial probe into suicide of young PCS officer in UP

Lucknow: Congress General secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday appealed to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath to hold an impartial enquiry into the death of young PCS officer Manimanjari Rai in Ballia recently.
Posting a message in her Facebook account on Sunday, Ms Vadra said the incident was unfortunate and family members too has demanded an impartial probe into the death.
The Congress leader has also written a letter to Yogi Adityanath in this context on July 9 and hoped that family of Ms Rai will get justice .
In her letter, Ms Vadra wrote as per the reports Ms Manimanjari Rai had committed suicide in Ballia, where she was an executive officer of the Nagar panchayat early this week.
” The decessed have pointed out some corruption and other irregularities in the government functioning which should be probed and guilty should be brought in the books,” Ms Vadra wrote in her letter .
Police was already investigating the case after registering a FIR against three employees of the panchayat including a computer operator.
