JAMMU: Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of development and prosperity. She stated this during an interaction with the media persons at the Raj Bhawan here today.
Terming the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A) as development booster for J&K she asserted that not only languishing developmental projects have been completed now but also new projects have been initiated in the twin Capital cities of the UT.
LG Manoj Sinha is playing a pivotal role in the development projects of Jammu Kashmir, Sitharaman added.
According to Finance Minister, PM Narendra Modi Government is committed for the equitable and inclusive growth of Jammu and Kashmir.
While describing the role of Mission Youth, Hausala and Tejaswini schemes, Finance Minister said, various Government schemes have been introduced to create self employment and provide jobs in this Union Territory.
Sitharaman said that Covid period was a great setback to the economy of the nation but in the coming time J&K will witnesses the era of unprecedented development and growth. She assured that each and every region and district of Jammu Kashmir will get the due share, as the transparency is the biggest strength of BJP Government.
While post abrogation of Article 370 is an era of development of Jammu Kashmir but suggestions are always welcome so that none remains unheard, she said that their concerns will be definitely addressed.
