Srinagar, Police on Sunday claimed to have solved a burglary case by arresting two persons and recovered stolen property from them in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police Post Palhallan received a complaint on March 25 from one Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Tantraypora Palhallan, Pattan that some unknown burglars entered into his residential house Saturday night and stole copper utensils, police said.
A case under relevant sections of law was registered at and investigation was initiated with the help of technical and human resources.
Police said “some suspects were picked up and one among them identified as Khursheed Ahmad Waza a resident of Tantraypora Palhallan confessed that he along with his accomplice identified as Tanveer Ahmad Reshi, a resident of New Colony Palpora Pattan, committed the theft.”
Subsequently, the other accused Tanveer was also arrested for his involvement in the commission of crime.
“On their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from them. They are in police custody,” police said.
