Over a dozen PRI representatives join AP

Srinagar: Over a dozen Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representative, including women, in north Kashmir district of Baramulla joined Apni Party.
A spokesman for the AP claimed prominent panchayat representatives from Sopore in district Baramulla, including Block Development Council (BDC) chairperson, joined the Party at a function on Tuesday.
He said those who included Khatooni Begum BDC, chairperson Block Tujar Shareef, Gulam Ahmad Lone, BDC Vice-Chairman Tujjar Shareef Block, Sara Begum Sarpanch Seeloo, Afroza Begum Sarpanch Dangerpora, Ghulam Nabi War Sarpanch Gund Brath, Abdul Rashid Mir Sarpanch Janwari, Ali Mohammad Dar Sarpanch Rawcha Dangiwacha, Nazir Ahmad Khwaja Panch Seeloo, Javaid Ahmad Tantray a prominent worker of PDP Walraman Sangrama and prominent social activists Mohammad Lateef Mir from Zaloora, Waseem Ahmad Keema from Sopore and Sheikh Zia from Bomai Sopore.
He said AP District President and former legislator Shoaib Lone and other party leaders welcomed the new entrants into the party fold.
Meanwhile, prominent social activists from various areas of district Ganderbal including Latief Ahmad Mir from Bakoora, Haji Ghulam Mohammad Dar from Pandach, Mushtaq Ahmad Malik from Khalmulah, Fayaz Ahmad Kumar from Pandach and Fayaz Ahmad Bhat from Shahpora also joined Apni Party today.
The party leadership expressed hope that the new entrants would further strengthen the party base on the ground.
“We pledge to work together under the party leadership and would disseminate the Party’s socio-economic and political agenda among the people with utmost dedication, the new entrants said and claimed that AP is the only political platform available in J&K, which does not believe in the politics of deceit and hollow sloganeering. This practical approach motivated us to join this party,” the new entrants said.
