Srinagar: Reacting sharply to reports that new industrial units in Madhya Pradesh (MP) will be exempted from providing some of facilities to workers, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said let them exempt from paying salaries as well.
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter Vice President of the National Conference (NC) said “ If this is correct then might as well go the whole hog & exempt them from paying salaries as well since the units will be treating their workers as slaves in any case”.
He was reacting to a report that “New industrial units in Madhya Pradesh will reportedly be exempt from providing workers with toilets, ventilation, lighting, rest intervals & weekends off. Either they are drafted for a sub-human species or non-sentient robots!”.
