Neyveli boiler blast: Amit Shah assures TN CM of all possible help

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister EK Palaniswami and assured him of all possible help after a blast at Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) in Cuddalore claimed six lives and left 17 others injured on Wednesday morning.
Taking to twitter, Mr Shah said that the Central Industrial security Force is already on the spot to assist the relief work.
“Anguished to learn about the loss of lives due to a blast at Neyveli power plant boiler in Tamil Nadu, have spoken to @CMOTamil Nadu and assured all possible help”, he tweeted.
He also prayed for the early recovery of those injured.
This mishap occurred at the fifth unit of the thermal power station-II when workers were in the process of resuming operations this morning. This was the second blast in last two months.
On May 7, seven workers were injured at Neyveli power plant due to a blast in a boiler in power plant.
