Modi Govt committed to provide dignified life to every citizen: Bharat Bhushan

JAMMU: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very concerned about empowering Gram Panchayats and to address the grievances of every citizen, making them safe and lead a dignified life.
This was stated by DDC Jammu Chairman Bharat Bhushan Bodhi while addressing Gram Sabha meetings at Village Ghaink and Kot Lower A Khass in Block Bhalwal of district Jammu.
DDC Chairman said that the BJP led Central Government is implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in partnership with states and union territories to ensure every rural household in the country has functional household tap connection for drinking water in adequate quantity of prescribed quality on regular and long-term basis leading to improvement in their living standards. For this, the Jammu district alone has got a major share of over Rs 900 crore under this scheme to provide household tap connections which will definitely improve the ease of living, he added.
DDC Chairman also discussed at length all various issues related to power supply, health care, dilapidated condition of roads, etc. He passed on instructions to the concerned officers to immediately address the issues of the people of this remote area on priority basis.
Bharat Bhushan while interacting with the people of the area reiterated his commitment to ensure overall development of district Jammu with special emphasis on rural and far-off areas. He assured that besides development of the area he will ensure that the benefits of various schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and needy reach the doorsteps of the people. He said only then we can say that the objective of good governance has been achieved.
“We need to empower Gram Panchayats so that they equally participate in the process of development and take decisions for the upliftment of people residing in far-flung areas,” he added.
The senior BJP leader further directed the workers to take the achievements of Narendra Modi led Central Government to every house of district Jammu and also asked the workers to reach out to every house and every person to make them aware about the Modi Government’s achievements in the past six years.
The party workers apprised the DDC Chairman of the problems being faced by people related to basic amenities and urged upon him to get the issues resolved. He assured them for redressal of the same at the earliest.
BDO Bhalwal, BDC Chairperson Bhalwal, Sarpanch Rajni Devi, Sarpanch Shiv Dev Singh and Naib Sarpanch Sat Pal Sharma were also present in the meeting.
