Marathwada regions reports 3473 fresh nCoV cases, 13 deaths

Aurangabad: Eight districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra state spike out 3,473 fresh cases during the past 24 hours, and 13 more deaths, health authorities informed, here on Saturday.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI shows that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad district in the region was one of the worst affected district where highest 1251 cases and 5 deaths were reported , followed by Nanded with 697 new cases and 5 deaths,Jalna registered 567 new cases and 2 deaths,Hingoli had 48 cases and single death ,Beed registered 294 new cases,Latur registered 242 new cases ,Parbhani had 215 cases and Osmanabad had 119 cases .
Meanwhile ,during the past 24 hours total 25,681 fresh cases of corona positive spotted across in the state, bringing the total number of infections in the state to 24,22,021.
While 70 more deaths were also reported taking the death toll to 53,208.
Meanwhile, a total of 14,400 patients recovered and were discharged taking the total number of recoveries to 21,89,965 across the state.
The state government has so far tested 1,80,83,977 samples for the disease across the state .
With this the recovery rates sharply goes down and stand to 90.42 per cent and fatality rate is 2.20 per cent.
At present 1,77,560 active patients across the state were undergoing treatment at different Covid centres and hospitals, they added.
