Leadership Summit 3.0 concludes at IIM Jammu

JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu today successfully concluded the third installment of its flagship event, the Leadership Summit, a two-day grand event from 26th-27th Feb 2022, with many thought-provoking sessions by the global heavyweights from industry, government, and other walks of life.
The main theme for this year is centered around “Leadership next for Atmanirbhar Bharat”, with the primary focus on self-reliance, self-sustenance, adopted by the Government of India and making India a part of the global economy.

On day two of the ‘Leadership Summit 3.0’, Papiya Banerjee, Co-founder, Unqbe, and Kailash Kulkarni, CEO, L&T Mutual Funds, spoke on the theme, “Gig Economy: Unlocking the Potential of an Independent Indian Workforce”. Banerjee began the discussion by mentioning the main drivers of the gig economy, transformation in the core of technology, changing scenarios, and change of perception towards work among people during the ongoing pandemic. She believed that despite the pandemic, remote work was in full swing, there was no lag in the efficiency and overall functioning. Moreover, the economy is more reliant on gig workers now, and the risk-taking appetite has increased since the entrepreneurial DNA is gaining momentum.
Rajashree Natarajan, CEO, Cognizant Foundation, spoke on the topic “Forging an emerging leader: disrupting the status quo”, was the next guest in the panel. She laid the foundation of this discussion by giving an overview of her background and her illustrious journey.
The Founder-CEO of OYO Rooms and winner of the Business World Young Entrepreneur Award, Ritesh Agarwal graced the event with his virtual presence.
