Ladakh Chamber of Industries delegation calls on LG Mathur

LEH: A delegation of Ladakh Chamber of Industries (LCI) called upon the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R.K. Mathur here today. The delegation members submitted a memorandum highlighting the grievances of MSMEs of Ladakh. They apprised the Lt Governor about the problems faced by MSMEs of Leh and Kargil in view of the new set up of Union Territory of Ladakh. They requested for the upliftment of the MSME sector and some safeguards by reviving SICOP (J&K Small Scale Industrial Development Corporation), an alternative to participate in tendering above Rs.1 lakh for units registered with DIC of respective districts in Ladakh and to separate local MSME manufactured items from the civil works and to exempt their purchase through GEM.
