Kishtwar cloudburst: LG Sinha condoles loss of lives, says rescue operation on

Srinagar: Expressing grief over the deaths due to flashfloods triggered by cloudburst in Kishtwar district on Wednesday, J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said that the operation to rescue and trace missing persons was going on a war-footing.
While four bodies were recovered, several people are missing after a cloudburst triggered flash floods on Wednesday morning in remote village Honjar of Dachhan in Kishtwar.
“Saddened over loss of precious lives due to flash floods caused by cloud burst in Dacchan, Kishtwar. My thoughts are with bereaved families,” Sinha wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
The LG said that he has spoken to senior authorities and district administration. “Army and SDRF team working on war footing to rescue people and trace the missing persons,” he said.
“I am continuously monitoring the situation,” he added.
