JMC Organizes Programme On Solid Waste Managment

Today a programme on Solid Waste Management is organized by JMC in collaboration with Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhour camp and Govt. Girls High School, Bhour Camp, Jammu.

The Vice Principal Smt. Anju Gupta presided over the function and welcome the guests. The programme started with presentation and boque by the Principal to Master Jorawar Singh, representative from JMC.

Master Jorawar Singh delivered lecture and given practical demonstration in the School to prepare compost from the organic waste of the house. Whereas from inorganic particular from plastic bags, plastic oil is prepare which is used in place of bitumen to construct roads, as India has prepared more than one lack kilometer of plastic roads which are all weather friends.

The school administration is assured by JMC to provide a container to dump the school waste as burning of waste is not acceptable by NGT (National Green Tribunal) as well as Health wing of JMC.

The students of Girls High School, Bhour camp where Mr. Ved Pal Sharma and other team of JMC installed the banners and posters. Students were curious to know regarding the problem of Solid Waste of the school.

The students shown active in the demo and ask questions relevant to the formation of compost. All of them were satisfied with the efforts of JMC to remove Solid Waste from Jammu.
