Inter-School Competitions Of District Jammu

BADMINTON

The JK Public School (JKPS) Kunjwani bagged the under-14 boys Badminton title in the ongoing inter-school competitions of district Jammu, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) across different disciplines at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.

In the final, JKPS trounced Delhi Public School (DPS) 2-0 in the final. While
Danish beat Udhayan in singles, the pair of Danish and Dhruv trounced the duo
of Udhayan and Jaskran.

Earlier, in the semifinals, JKPS defeated Heritage School 2-0 while DPS
outplayed GD Goenka School 2-0.

However, in under-17 category, JKPS boys lost in the semifinals stages of the
competition to Army Public School (APS) Domana 1-2. In other semifinal, GD
Goenka defeated Banyan International School 2-1. Now, in the final GD Goenka
shall meet APS Domana in the final tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the girls inter-school competitions of district Jammu in twin age
groups of under-14 and under-17 shall start tomorrow at the same venues.

Shivam Bhan of BSF Paloura beat Manish of GHS Surechak 12-07. Doubles: Ravi Kumar and Manish Kumar of GHS Sure Chak beat the duo of Raju Kumar and Prince Chowdhary. UNDER-17: Singles: Harsh Digra of GMS Raipur bt Rishi of BSF Paloura 10-05. Doubles: Himanshu Samyal and Ajay Kumar of SOS Herman bt Shitij Manhas and Rahul Kundal of Model Academy 09-04.
