Jammu IGP interact students, caretakers of police martyrs’

Kathua: Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh on Tuesday visited here at District Police Lines and interacted with 150 students alongwith four caretakers from different Villages and Schools of District Kathua belonging to poor and underprivileged families of remote area as well as youth belonging to J&K Police Martyr families.
IGP Jammu flagged off Bharat Darshan Tour under Civic Action Programme J&K Police under this initiative facilitated the children belonging to economically weaker section not only to visit other part of India but to have an exposure that will benefit them to achieve goals in their life.
The IGP accompanied by Shridhar Patil, SSP Kathua and other officers of District Kathua were also present during flagged off ceremony.
Besides, IGP Jammu reviewed security arrangements in view of Republic Day 2020 and chaired meeting with District territorial officers and other security agencies.
He also issued necessary directions to all the officers to remain extra vigilant to avert any untoward incident.
