International Exhibition of Art by women artists to be held on Nov 1

JAMMU: Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu is organizing an International Exhibition of Art by Women Artists-2020 Online on November 1.
The exhibition is dedicated to late (Prof) ND Sharma, a leading literary and intellectual personality of J&K. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Adwaita Gadanayak, Director General, National Gaklery of Modern Art, New Delhi on November 1, 2020.
One hundred and eighteen art works by female artists of ten countries including Bangladesh, Australia, USA, UK, Turkey, Sweden, Central America, Doha (Qatar), Canada and India (20 states/ UTs) will be presented on the occasion.
The exhibition is curated by OP Sharma, Founder Director Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu.
Sharma, Director, JKCCA said, “Exhibition is scheduled for participation of art by women artists keeping in view the role of female artists taking part in artistic activities in a large number and that should be recognized by the organizations working for the development of their artistic pursuits.”
The exhibition will be divided in to three sections viz Invited Artists, Artists from Abroad and Selected Artists sections. The artists included in the Invitees’ Section include Raj Bharti, Jammu; Chandana Khan, Hyderabad; Bandana Nath, Guwahati; Neena Singh, Pune; Dr Mamta Singh, Dehradun; Sushila Bodade, Indore; Dr Shashi Jha, Dehradun; Shubhada Bhosale, Pune; Prof (Dr) Chitralekha Singh, Agra and Nirpuma Tank, Gujarat.
The prominent among other artists are Meghna Ahuja, New Delhi; Amrit Kaur, Jammu; Gaytri, Hoshiarpur; Dr Alka Chadha, Harpalani Bangalore; Asmita Patil, Mumbai; Deepathi Jayan, Chennai; Dr Rita Tewari, Dehradun; Kamna Chouhan, Meerut; Dr Rashmi Saxena, Agra; Aparna Anand Singh, New Delhi; Diksha Jaiswal, Kanpur, UP; Jyoti Mehta, Goa; Archana Choudhary, Madhubani; Dr. Suryasnata Mohanty, New Delhi; Arpita B Ruparel, Mumbai; Deepa Soni, Jammu, and others.
It may be recalled that Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) is a prominent NGO in the UT working under Pt. Kewal K Sharma, President JKCCA.
The organization integrates itself with the functions of visual arts, literature and performing arts.
