Induction ceremony for third batch of MBBS students held in GMC Kathua

Lipsa Rajvans alongwith other MBBS students of third batch of GMC Kathua being administered Oath during Induction Ceremony.

KATHUA: The induction ceremony for the third batch of MBBS students was conducted at Government Medical College Kathua in presence of the Principal Dr Anjali Nadir Bhat, here on Monday.
In his address, the students were addressed by the Principal of GMC Kathua and stressed on imbibing punctuality, discipline and dedication.
Dr Anjali Nadir Bhat, while addressing the gathering, enlightened the students about the future challenges, prospective and ways to emerge successful in their chosen noble profession.
It was informed that NMC has started Charak Shapath instead of conventional Hippocratic Oath for Medical students, from the current session.
The students were administered the Charak Shapath by Dr Meenakshi Sharma, Assistant Professor, Physiology while Dr Sabita Yograj, Professor Physiology conducted the proceedings during the induction ceremony.
The students of GMC Kathua were made to adorn the aprons by Dr Shomalla Jan, Demonstrator Anatomy and stethoscope by Dr Tarsem Kumar, Assistant Professor Anatomy.
The students were also administered the Cadaver oath by the faculty member.
An interactive session between the students and the Faculty was also conducted wherein all the students introduced themselves to the faculty and faculty was also introduced to students.
Parents and some newly entered MBBS students also spoke on the occasion.
