Apart from EU, Australia, Japan, UK, Indonesia, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, South Korea and Turkey are among 62 countries which are supporting the draft motion at the WHA beginning today in Geneva.
The motion demands an independent inquiry into the Coronavirus outbreak worldwide and WHO’s response and steps to counter the pandemic.
According to official sources here, the motion seeks an “impartial, independent and comprehensive evaluation” of the international health response under WHO to Covid-19 along with a timeline.
The sources also informed that though the US and China did not join the group of nations, the motion was not objected to by either of the two countries.
