IIM Jammu Declares MBA Admission Results for 2019-2021 Batch, Selection Criteria To Be More Stringent


IIM Jammu, set up in 2016 by Government of India in Jammu and Kashmir has increased its intake from 60 to 140 seats for Masters in Business Administration (MBA) this year. IIM Jammu has already geared up to provide additional world-class infrastructure, in terms of both well equipped class-rooms as well as accommodation to the incoming batch of MBA students.

IIM Jammu has made its MBA selection criteria more stringent from this year onwards to maintain a high quality standard, as it takes part in the Common Admission Process (CAP) along with some of the other IIMs. The candidates pursuing admission to the MBA programme of IIM Jammu this year, had to appear for Common Admission Process in addition to the CAT wherein they had to undertake the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) which was not the case in the previous years.

Moreover, for the current year, IIM Jammu has increased the cutoff score for MBA programme from 85 percentile to 95 percentile. However, IIM Jammu endeavors to make the incoming MBA batch more inclusive and diverse, for which 5% marks are allotted to female and non-engineering candidates. IIM Jammu follows the Government of India reservation policy.

IIM Jammu has declared the MBA admissions and first list is already out. Candidates can initiate the admission process by paying rupees 50,000 as offer acceptance fee. IIM Jammu provides the candidates with a hassle free and easy fee payment experience for admission to the MBA programme. The novel solution implemented by IIM Jammu, in collaboration with J&K Bank Easy Collect portal, provides candidates relief from the insecurities and the non-sureties associated with the payment process. The portal provides exclusive page to IIM Jammu candidates for easy fee payment by filling out minimal details.

The admission process of IIM Jammu consists of:

 CAT Examination

 Short listing candidates for Personal Appearance (PA) process.

 Conducting the PA process: PA process is composed of Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

The PA process will be common to all the 10 IIMs, namely, IIM Bodh Gaya, Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur and IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur.
