Huge audience attends second day of THFF

Day begins with screening of popular Ladakhi films
LEH: The second day of ‘The Himalayan Film Festival 2021’ commenced with the screening of popular Ladakhi films, jury recommended films from the competition section and regional films from the 11 mountain states.
The in-conversation session with Anupama Chopra, renowned film critique and master class by nationally acclaimed Priya Krishnaswamy were the show stealers of the evening. Sharing her role as a film critic, Anupama said that it’s her passion for films and storytelling that keeps her going in her work. She shared that the emergence of OTT platforms is a golden period creating a space to think out of the box thus, breaking stereotypes which she said is a great leap forward in Indian cinema that gives a position of great power along with great responsibility.
Priya Krishnaswamy kept the audience captivated with her expert masterclass on film editing. She spoke about the basic editing techniques demonstrated with technical cuts from the famous Hollywood film ‘The Greatest Showman’.
While interacting with the audience she said that editing is a life skill and it’s about passion, conviction and commitment.
There was a jury meet too attended by Manju Borah, G P Vijaya Kumar and Raja Shabir Mohd Khan. The evening concluded with a music extravaganza presented by Lu-yangs and Zangphan bands.
