Apni Party intensifies election campaign in Tikkri

UDHAMPUR: Intensifying their campaign in support of Apni Party candidates, the senior leaders organised a series of meetings with the people in Tikkri area of the district.
From Tikkri, the Apni Party has given mandate to Jyoti Bala, wife of ex-sarpanch Rajinder Singh Kaka to contest from the DDC seat.
The senior leaders led by Apni Party’s general secretary, Vikram Malhotra, Provincial President, Women Wing, Jammu region, Namrta Sharma, Party Coordinator for Jammu Central, Pranav Shagotra, Ex-MLA Faqir Nath, Gourav Kapoor and Nasir Wani started election campaign.
“The previous Govt has failed in taking up developmental works in Tikkri area. The basic amenities like road, drinking water and electricity are still a distant dream for the people of this area where BJP and J&K National Panther’s Party had representatives in the past,” said Malhotra while addressing public meetings in Tikkri in support of the Apni Party candidate.
Malhotra said that the Apni Party has emerged an alternative for the people of J&K and the Jammu people should end their exploitation by supporting and voting Jyoti Bala contesting from Tikkri DDC constituency.
He appealed to the people to bring a change in their life by supporting the Apni Party in Udhampur. “Udhampur has the potential of tourism and still, the way the district is being ignored is not less than a shock. Apni Party will work for the development and promotion of tourism in Udhampur district which is rich in natural resources,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Provincial President Women Wing Namrta appreciated the courage in the woman candidate Jyoti Bala who has stood from the DDC seat as contesting candidate.
“Panthers Party has also hoodwinked the people of Tikkri and Udhampur district. They play politics in Jammu and forget the place where the people had voted them and elected their MLA from Udhampur,” said Namrta.
She said “the BJP and Panther’s Party are hand in glove to befool the poor voters of this district. Where Panther’s is strong, the BJP leaves the seat for them and support Panthers candidates indirectly.”
