Gurkha, Valmiki communities in J&K getting their rights now: LG Sinha

JAMMU: LT Governor, Manoj Sinha here on Sunday said that the people of Gurkha community who were denied their rights, Valmiki community who were devoid of education and employment are getting their due rights now.
The women in J&K are also getting their rights, Sinha stated this in Jammu.
“There was a time when people of Gurkha community were devoid of govt jobs & higher education. Valmiki community was devoid of education & good employment opportunities. Women weren’t getting their rights. Today you see all of it turning into reality,” J&K LG Manoj Sinha said.
Sinha along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Jammu today. Earlier, Amit Shah inaugurated new campus of IIT Jammu.
