Good facilities being provided to farmers in market committees of Haryana : Dalal

Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister J P Dalal said that good facilities of rest houses, drinking water, sewerage, electricity, toilets, etc. are being provided to farmers in the market committees of the state.
Apart from this, new buildings are also being constructed as per the requirement, the Minister said while responding to a question raised by an MLA in the state Assembly on Thursday.
Mr Dalal said that farmers do not have to travel more than 5 to 7 kilometers to reach the mandis, for this 114 main yards, 167 sub yards and 196 procurement centres have been set up in Haryana.
He said that administrative approval has been given to construct a new building in New Grain Market, Madlauda. Its work will be started soon. This building will cost Rs 138.28 lakh, which will be completed in the next financial year. He said that the decision to build a rest house at Madlauda, Israna, will be taken after a committee examines the report.
