Four drug peddlers held, cocaine worth crores recovered in Baramulla

Baramulla: Four drug peddlers were arrested and cocaine like substance worth crores of rupees recovered by police in this north Kashmir district of Baramulla on Friday, a senior police officer said.
Talking to reporters, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abdul Qayoum said on a tip-off about the movement of drug peddlers police established a joint naka on the Srinagar-Baramulla national highway.
During the naka, a vehicle was intercepted at Khanpora bridge, he said , adding one person was arrested and drugs recovered.
Later on , on his disclosure three more drug peddlers were arrested. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Bilal Ahmad Mir, Rafiq Sofi alias Kanjwal, Tariq Guroo and Shabir Ahmad Mir.
He said a total of six packets of cocaine like substance were also recovered from them. He said further investigation has been initiated and more arrests are expected.
