Former Indian Football team captain Shekhar Bangera becomes latest victim of Corona

Udupi, Karnataka: Former Indian Football team skipper Shekhar Paddu Bangera on Thursday became the latest victim of coronavirus. He was 74.
Shekhar Bangera, who had contracted COVID-19, had been under treatment at Mahesh Hospital in Brahmavar. He failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last on Thursday morning.
Originally from Badanidiyuru in Udupi, Shekhar Bangera played as the goalkeeper of the Indian Football team. During the time, he was also the captain of the team.
Living in Mumbai for many years, he had served as a coaching instructor for various football associations in the city.
