Farmers are protesting to avoid future tragedy: Rahul

New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that the farmers are agitating today to save themselves from the future tragedy and demanding to repeal the newly enacted farm laws.
Taking to twitter this morning, Gandhi shared a news report regarding the purchase of his crop by the private corporation, and, said, ‘The country’s farmers are protesting against anti-farmer laws and in their ‘satyagrah’ we all will have to support the food provider .’
Along with his tweet, Gandhi has posted a photo in which a copy of a contract with the farmers of Madhya Pradesh has been attached, who’s caption says, ‘No signature no stamp this is how contracts are being done. The MP farmers are saying if such a thing continues, we will be destroyed.’
The Congress has said that 2 crore farmers of the country have given letters with their signatures against the new farm laws, which will be handed over to the Centre in two trucks.
