Farm laws: AAP raises slogans outside Parliament

New Delhi: Boycotting the first day of the budget session on Thursday, as a mark of protest against the newly-enacted farm laws, the Aam Admi Party (AAP) members Sanjay Singh and Bhagwant Maan on Friday raised slogans outside the central hall of parliament.
Equating the farm laws to a death Warrant, MP Sanjay Singh said that it is not amended but withdrawn. Prime Minister, your government considers the farmers as anti-national traitors and second class citizens, you have mortgaged the identity of the farmers for the sake of your 4 capitalist friends. “Take back all three laws.”
AAP has been highly critical since the enactment of the three farm laws.
Moreover, total 16 opposition parties, including Indian National Congress, jointly boycotted the Presidential address on Thursday.
The three laws, passed by Parliament during monsoon session, are seen by growers as pro-corporate and anti-farmers as they allow private players in the agricultural trade.
