EC Agriculture discusses extension of four lane road with HIMANK

LEH: The Executive Councillor for Agriculture & Environment Phunchok Stanzin and Counicllor Phyang Phuntsog Dorjey convened a meeting with Colonel Yogesh Gandhi (HIMANK) at Council Secretariat here today.
EC Phunchok and Counicllor Phyang requested HIMANK to extend four-lane road from SBI Choglamsar to Sindhu Ghat, installation of street light along the Choglamsar four-line road, fixing of road reflectors, and raised pavement markers on the same road to control traffic and to ensure safer driving conditions, redesigning of footpaths on the both sides of the road to make it people friendly.

Colonel Gandhi assured redesigning of footpaths and fixing of road reflectors on four-line Choglamsar road at the earliest. He said that proposal for extension of four-line road beyond SBI Choglamsar is stand submitted and awaiting for approval.

EC Phunchok also directed HIMANK to conduct recruitment drive for nonlocal labourers at one centralized location in Leh to minimize pollution and ensure minimum pollution from labourers camps of HIMANK stationed in the district.
