Delhi air continues to remain toxic falling under ‘very poor’ category

New Delhi: Delhi’s air quality on Sunday witnessed a very slight improvement by coming down to ‘very poor’ as compared to yesterday’s ‘severe’, the Central Pollution Control Board said here.
The average Air Quality Index at around 1100 hours on Sunday was measured at 394 ,which falls under the ‘very poor’ category.
However, there were some places where the air quality continues to be severe around the city as well as the NCR region, while moreover it remained very poor to poor across many places in the northern states.
The minimum temperature on Sunday morning was recorded at 10.8 degrees C with relative humidity pegging at 88 per cent, which added in making the air dense and prevented dispersion of the particulate matter.
