COVID: J&K Govt appoints officers to assist nodal officers to regulate movement of stranded persons outside UT

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday appointed seven officers who will assist nodal officers to regulate movement of stranded persons outside the Union Territory.
As per Government Order No. 511-JK (GAD) of 2020 Dated: 30.04.2020, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in his capacity as Chairperson, National Executive Committee, permitting therein regulated movement of the migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons stranded at different places due to lockdown.
The officers appointed by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in addition to their existing charge are assigned the tasks related to the movement of stranded persons into and outside Jammu and Kashmir.
As per order, Shaleen Kabra, (7006927358), Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department has been appointed as overall in-charge for co-ordinating movement of stranded persons from all States and UTs except Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
Dheeraj Gupta, (9419057899) Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi, Niraj Kumar, (9419080444), Additional Resident Commissioner and Ex-officio, Secretary, J&K Government, New Delhi will assist Nodal Officer for coordination with other Resident Commissioners.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu, (9419110001), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department will coordinate movement of residents of Jammu and Kashmir stranded in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab into Jammu and Kashmir and movement of all stranded persons within J&K.
Saurabh Bhagat, (9419197752), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Labour and Employment Department shall assist the Nodal Officer in the coordination of outward movement of migrant labourers stranded in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talat Parvez Rohella, (9419400065), Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department shall assist the Nodal Officer in coordination of inward movement of students of Jammu and Kashmir stranded in different States/UTs.
Ravinder Kumar, (9469112000), Managing Director, J&K SIDCO (Additional charge of the post of MD, JK Trade Promotion Organization) shall assist Nodal Officer for coordinating movement of stranded persons. He shall remain headquartered at Civil Secretariat, Jammu till completion of the assignment.
The Nodal Officers will coordinate with his counterparts in other States and guide and monitor the District administration in respect of the movement of migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons stranded, said an order.
