Covid-19 gains pace in Ladakh as UT reports 91 fresh positive cases

Leh: After reporting single digit Covid-19 positive cases for last couple of weeks, the UT spread of the virus has gained pace again in Ladakh as nearly 100 fresh positive cases were reported in last 24 hours.
As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, a total of 91 positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received. Out of the total positive reports, 82 reports were received by CMO Leh and 9 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.
The bulletin further detailed that UT Ladakh has discharged 32 patients. All the patients were discharged by CMO Leh. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 505; 458 in Leh district and 47 in Kargil district.
The bulletin further informed that 1682 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh. While 118 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post. The Coronavirus bulletin was released on Thursday night.
