Corona patients’ recovery rate rises to 58.67 pc

New Delhi: The gap between the recovered and active patients of Novel Coronavirus has increased, with as many as 3,21,722 patients of COVID-19 having recovered, taking the recovery rate to 58.67 per cent.
During the past 24 hours, a total of 12,010 COVID-19 patients have cured. At present, there are 2,10,120 active cases and all are under medical surveillance.
The efforts made by the Central Government, in collaboration with the states/Union Territories for prevention, control and management of COVID-19, are showing encouraging results.
A statement issued by the Health Ministry on Monday said with the growing network of clinical laboratories to test COVID-19, the number of laboratories in India has now risen to 1,047 — 760 government and 287 private laboratories. The 11 laboratories, which have been included in the last 24 hours, are all run by the Government.
These include real-time RT PCR-based testing laboratories 567 (362 government, 205 private), TrueNat-based testing laboratories — 393 (366 government, 27 private) and CB net-based testing laboratories — 87 (32 government, 55 private).
The total number of samples being examined for Coronavirus is also increasing, and has touched the figure of 83,98,362. As many as 1,70,560 samples were tested on Sunday, it added.
