AKHNOOR : Asserting that congress will effectively fight the anti- people and anti-youth policies of the ruling BJP and defeat their divisive agenda in Jammu and Kashmir, Senior Congress leader Satish Sharma alleged that nine years of BJP rule has deceived the people by making hollow claims and false promises with no employment opportunities.
Addressing monthly meeting of Block Congress Committee held at Akhnoor, Satish Sharma strongly raised the issue of youth who feel cheated and betrayed. It was the Congress party which had framed a employment policy but under the regime of the present government youth are being deprived of their due rights. The lists are being cancelled making the unemployed youth to suffer, he said demanding stipend for all the educated youth.
Satish Sharma expressed serious concern over the difficulties confronting the people in the absence of a democratic system in J&K. People were being denied their democratic rights by the BJP aiming to hide its wrong policies and utter failure. He accused the BJP of being habitual in raking up controversies to divert the attention of the people from their failure to provide a credible government in J&K. The BJP has lost the moral right to go to Jammu people after betrayal and the Congress shall continue to fight for the democratic rights of the people and ensure justice, he added.
Satish Sharma also took a dig at BJP leadership for celebrating nine years, nine deceits and a failed government in order to highlight the failures and performance of the Modi Government on various fronts, including economy, foreign policy, communal harmony, inflation, farmer’s income, national security, welfare for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other Backward Classes. He said Jammu people are now realizing their mistake committed in 2014 and 2019 as these people who were sent by the voters to raise their voice remained unheard for nine long years. He alleged that the BJP exploited the electorate on different slogans on the name of religion, regions and caste but it was a tool to seek votes through these emotional issues.
