Cong condemns violence in Bengaluru, terms it complete failure of law & order machinery

New Delhi: Condemning the violence in Bengaluru, the Congress on Wednesday slammed the BJP government in Karnataka over the issue of law and order and said ‘riots and arson is condemnable and unacceptable’.
Three people were killed allegedly in police firing late on Tuesday night when violence broke out in Devarajeevanahalli and Kadugondanahalli areas in Bengaluru over a communal social media post.
Reacting to the violence in Bengaluru, AICC media in-charge Randeep Surjewala in a tweet said, #bengaluruviolence , riots & arson is reprehensible, condemnable & unacceptable.’
‘It is complete failure of law & order machinery & rule of law,’ he said.
‘Was Yediyurappa Govt sleeping or waiting for violence to happen?’ Surjewala said.
‘Why did police not act in time? Who is responsible for 3 deaths?’ he said.
