BSF contributes over Rs 33 cr to PMs relief fund in fight against COVID-19

New Delhi: Border Security Force personnel have contributed a sum of Rs thirty three crore twenty eight lakh fifty seven thousand five hundred and four to the Prime Mnister Care Fund in the fight against COVID 19, an official said on Thursday.
The contribution made by the BSF includes one day salary from all ranks of the border guarding force.
The BSF which is one of the most important Central Armed Police Force under the MHA is also performing duties along with the state police amidst the Corona situation helping during the lock down.
Wherever the force is deployed , it is helping out the people providing them essential supplies of ration and others.
Most importantly in such sensitive times the force is keeping more vigil at the borders preventing the
anti national activities such as smuggling and others so that no one can take undue advantage of the siutaion
Meanwhile, earlier other paramilitary forces also contributed their one day salary to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund in the fight against the pandemic.
