Boxing, Rafting competition among others organized on Day-2 of Ladakh School Olympics

LEH: The second day of Ladakh School Olympic kicked off with great excitement, enthusiasm, energy and high sportsman spirit exhibited by participating students in different games.
The second phase of elimination round of all the games including boxing, judo, TT, badminton, volleyball, cricket, archery, track and field were played at different venues. Boxing was played at boxing hall near Handicrafts office, Badminton, Table Tennis and Archery at Indoor Stadium, Volleyball and Cricket at NDS stadium and Track & field at Open Stadium near Spituk. One of the major highlights of the day was river rafting practice session near Sangam in which 12 girls’ team and 16 boys’ team are participating. Turtuk Hr. Sec. School girls’ cricket team won the match hitting a six off the last ball with requirement of 5 runs, which was the most enthralling part of the second day LSO.
Administration ensured conduct of every game in a most professional manner and DC, Leh Avny Lavasa inspected all the venues to assure proper arrangement of facilities to the students. Administration is providing boarding and lodging facilities to students from far off villages and also shuttle bus service to pick and drop the participating student to the venues.
